RED LAKE NATION VINTAGE NATIONAL SLEDS RACE DRIVER REGISTRATION INFORMATION

SUMMARY

This information will provide critical information to race participants and ensure that registration and the race schedule run smoothly. Racers should make every effort to accommodate both the SLEDS Sanction and the Seven Clans Casino; Thief River Falls in order to avoid delays and ensure a seamless event.

The Red Lake Nation Vintage Nationals Snowmobile Race is a cooperative effort between the SLEDS Sanctioned Snowmobile Racing Circuit and the Red Lake Nation doing business as Seven Clans Casino, Thief River Falls. ENTRY FEES/RACE FEES

Payback Entry Fees Start at $25.00 for Payback classes, $10.00 for temporary membership, $10.00 for driver insurance (includes both Payback and trophy), $5.00 for pit fees (includes both Payback and trophy).

• Trophy Class Entry Fees $10.00 for Annual SLEDS Members, $15.00 for Temporary member. 

PRE-REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION

• All racers are required to register. Information below is provided for pre-registration and race day registration. Prior to hot laps, drivers must have: Race Bib and Red Lake Nation Vintage National SLEDS Race Decal. Drivers must also sign a Waiver of Liability Form.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY FORM

• ALL racers must sign a Waiver of Liability Form prior to hotlaps. Forms are located at race registration trailer.

PRE-REGISTRATION

Racers shall make every effort to pre-register prior to the race date of January 22, 2005. Pre-registration shall allow for effective time management and ensure that the race schedule is adhered to. Incentives shall apply for those racers who pre-register. Two options shall be made available to racers in order to pre-register.

Pre-Register by downloading the Race Registration Forms. Race Registration Forms can be e-mailed to: www.sledsracing@hotmail.com. Deadline for Race Registration Forms is: 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 21st, 2005.

Race Registration Forms can also be faxed to (218)222-4091. Deadline for faxed Race Registration Forms is: 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 21st, 2005.

Upon your arrival, please go to the registration trailer to make race payments and to receive your Race Bib, Decal and gaming coupon.

• PRE-REGISTRATION-ON SITE: Racers can also pre-register on site. Pre-Registration will take place on Friday, January 21, 2005 in the Seven Clans Hotel, Thief River Falls Lobby from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. You will receive your Race Bib, Decal and a gaming coupon.

All Racers who “pre-register” will receive a buy $5.00 get $5.00 coupon.

DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION

• Those racers who do not pre-register can register Saturday, January 22, 2005. Race registration is from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. trackside. Please make every effort to register during this time.

HOTLAPS

• Hotlaps will start both Saturday, January 22, 2005 and Sunday, January 23, 2005 at 9:00 Am. and continue through 11:00 a.m. All racers must be registered and have made payment to start hotlaps.

MANDATORY DRIVERS MEETING

• The Mandatory Drivers Meeting will take place each day at 11:45 a.m. It is at this time that you will receive race instructions. Mandatory Drivers Meeting will be facilitated by the SLEDS Sanctioned Coordinator.

• A block of rooms is available at the Seven Clans Hotel for racers. For reservations please call: 1-(866)-255-7848. Inform the hotel agent that you are booking a room for the Vintage Sleds Race.

PAYOUTS/TROPHY/AWARD BANQUET

• Payouts and Trophies will be presented during the awards banquet on Sunday, January 23, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. Racers will receive cash payouts and trophies during this time. Payout finishers will be required to complete an IRS Form 1099 in exchange for cash.

•  The Awards banquet will take place in the Hotel Lobby. You DO NOT have to purchase a meal in order to participate in the Awards Banquet. The cost of a meal is $5.00, which includes: Roast beef, vegetable, choice of potato, coleslaw and beverage.
